Traffic Advisory - Use Caution With Icy Road Conditions Present

March 16, 2022 10:23 AM

Saskatoon Police Service patrol and traffic officers are currently at the scene of a vehicle collision with injuries, in the southbound lane of Circle Drive just off the College Drive exit. Traffic in the area will be restricted for the next few hours while officers investigate. Motorists are advised to avoid the area or follow police instruction.

Just after 8:30 a.m., on March 16th, 2022, police attended to a single vehicle accident where a vehicle reportedly lost control and rolled over into the ditch. The Circle Drive entrance from College Drive and one southbound lane on Circle Drive East are currently restricted.

Two people have been taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. SPS Collision Analysts have been called out to the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

As drivers head out on the roads this morning, the Saskatoon Police Service is reminding residents to drive safe, as icy road conditions are present in the city.

Officers have already responded to multiple collisions this morning. Motorists are advised to slow down, allow for extra driving time, and allow extra stopping distance when approaching intersections and other vehicles.

If you see a collision or need assistance out on the roads, please call the Saskatoon Police Service at 306-975-8300 or 9-1-1 in an emergency.
