A 26-year-old man is facing dangerous driving, firearm and drug related charges, after the Saskatoon Police Service Air Support Unit assisted patrol officers in an arrest early this morning.
On March 30th, 2022, at around 2:45 a.m., officers observed a pick-up truck going westbound on College Drive, at a high rate of speed. The ASU was able to track and locate the vehicle in the 500 block of Central Avenue, where it had been abandoned. The ASU was then able to direct patrol officers to the driver and he was taken into custody.
Upon further investigation the 26-year-old man was found to be in possession of 11.1 grams of crack cocaine, over $1000 cash and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking (packaging material, scale, cell phone). A search of his vehicle found two imitation BB gun handguns, and ammunition.
The 26-year-old man is charged with Dangerous Driving, Possession of Cocaine for the Purposes of Trafficking, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of the Proceeds of Crime, three firearm related charges and Breach of Conditions.
