Saskatoon Police Serious Assault Investigators have charged three people after a woman reported she was assaulted and forcibly confined over the weekend.

On January 2, 2022, a 31-year-old woman reported she had been assaulted and forcibly confined inside an apartment in the 1700 block of 22nd Street West since the early morning hours of January 1, 2022. She managed to escape and attended to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Police have charged an 18-year-old man, and two women, ages 23 and 42, with Forcible Confinement, Aggravated Assault, and Robbery With Violence. (Court Info #’s: 991184016, 991184047). The 18-year-old man and 23-year-old woman have been arrested. A warrant was requested for the arrest of the 42-year-old woman.

The victim and persons charged are known to each other.
