The Saskatoon Police Service Crime Reduction Team (CRT) has charged two people in connection to a six-day drug trafficking investigation.
On January 18th, 2022, at around 4 p.m., the SPS Tactical Support Unit and members of the CRT conducted a high risk vehicle stop in the 300 block of Ontario Avenue North. Two men and a woman were taken into custody without incident, officers seized cocaine during the arrest.
TSU and CRT investigators then proceeded to the 1400 block of Avenue B North. A 29-year-old woman was arrested outside the residence and at around 5:30 p.m. officers served a high risk warrant at that location. Three people were located inside and detained, as officers investigated and searched the residence. Two vehicles were also searched, with cocaine being found inside a car.
The investigation resulted in the seizure of the following:
- 250 grams methamphetamine
- 18 grams hard cocaine
- 27.7 grams soft cocaine
- 50 pills including five hydromorphone pills
- 0.7 grams fentanyl
- $260 cash
- Bear spray, ammunition and a machete
- Cell phones, scaled and other paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.
A 32-year-old man is charged with Drug Trafficking x2 (cocaine and methamphetamine), Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking x2 (cocaine and methamphetamine), Possession of a Controlled Substance x3 (Fentanyl, Methamphetamine and Hydromorphone), Possession of the Proceeds of Crime, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Breach of a Court Order and Breach of Conditions
A 29-year-old woman is charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purposes of Trafficking, and Possession of a Controlled Substance x2 (Cocaine and Fentanyl).
