Missing Person - Request For Public Assistance

The Saskatoon Police Service is continuing to request public assistance in locating missing person Nuzhat Tabassum.

Today and tomorrow (Friday July 15th, 2022 and Saturday July 16th, 2022), search teams including the Saskatoon Fire Department and Saskatoon Emergency Measures Organization (EMO), will be in the Rosewood area. These searches will include checking bodies of water in these areas. 

The SPS is also requesting anyone in the Rosewood neighbourhood, surrounding urban or rural areas to check their video surveillance for Nuzhat. Investigators believe the time period of 5:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on July 10, 2022, could contain vital information.

The Saskatoon Police Service is continuing its request for public assistance in locating missing person Nuzhat Tabassum.

Nuzhat is in a vulnerable state; coupled with extreme heat warnings, police and family are concerned for her well-being.

Updated information describes 53-year-old Nuzhat Tabassum as being 5’5” and 160lbs with black shoulder-length hair and brown eyes. Nuzhat is believed to have been wearing dark coloured pants, a maroon shirt, and light coloured shoes; she will not be wearing the purple jacket as pictured and may not be wearing a head scarf.

Police and the Saskatoon Search and Rescue have conducted organized ground- and air-level searches of parks, businesses, neighbourhoods, and rural areas but continue to yield negative results in locating Nuzhat.

Nuzhat was last seen at approximately 5:30 a.m. on July 10, 2022 in the Rosewood neighbourhood; she may still be nearby in surrounding urban or rural areas. Police and family are concerned that Nuzhat is in a vulnerable state.
