The Saskatoon Police Service has charged two men after a dangerous driving incident on Thursday.
On August 4th, 2022, at approximately 7:15 p.m., officers attempted to make a traffic stop near the intersection of 22nd Street and Avenue P. Officers arrested one suspect at that location, while the vehicle continued outside of the city. A search found the 25-year-old man to be in possession of a loaded sawed-off rifle.
The ASU continued to track the vehicle as it fled outside the city, along with officers from the SPS and RCMP. The driver, a 26-year-old man, eventually stopped in the village of Krydor, SK. He attempted to flee on foot, but was arrested without further incident.
The 26-year-old man is charged with Dangerous Driving, Evading Police and Operation of a Vehicle While Prohibited.
The 25-year-old man is charged with six firearm related charges and Breach of Conditions.
