The Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section has arrested a woman and charged her with the first-degree murder of Megan Gallagher. This is the second person charged with first-degree murder and the sixth person arrested in connection to the investigation.

On September 26, 2022, SPS investigators attended to a correctional facility in Prince Albert, SK to effect the arrest of Cheyann Crystal Peeteetuce, age 29 (DOB 1993/03/19); she was incarcerated on an unrelated sentence at the time of her arrest. Peeteetuce was transported back to Saskatoon and remains in police custody; she is expected to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court tomorrow, September 27, 2022, at 9:00 a.m..
