A 51 year old Swift Current man is facing a number of charges following a report of a male causing disturbances at businesses in the 1800 block of Idylwyld Drive North this morning.

At approximately 7:00 a.m., December 6, 2022, Police received a report of a male pounding on windows and acting in an erratic manner at a motel. Upon arrival, Police received another report that the male was in the restaurant next door. It was reported that he had assaulted someone. When Police entered, the male tried to barricade himself in a bathroom. When officers attempted to take him into custody, he began throwing items and kicking them. It is believed the man was under the influence of an intoxicant. No was was seriously injured during the incident.

The man is now facing charges of; Assault, Assault Peace Officer (x4), Resisting Arrest, Mischief and Breach of Conditions.
