Two people were arrested Saturday night after refusing to stop for Police.

At approximately 5:00 a.m., March 25th, 2023, Patrol officers observed a stolen, black Dodge Caravan in the 200 block of Avenue I South. Prior to Police conducting a traffic stop, the driver pulled over. When officers approached the vehicle, the driver fled operating the vehicle erratically. It came to a stop in the 200 block of Avenue L North after colliding with a parked vehicle.

A high-risk traffic stop was conducted and a 16-year-old female passenger was taken into custody without incident. She was uninjured and later released without charges. The remaining occupant and male driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital by paramedics for a precautionary assessment. He was later transported to SPS Detention.

The 18-year-old Saskatoon man is charged with Dangerous Driving, Evade Police, Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000 and Breach of Conditions (x4). He was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.
