Arrest - Dangerous Driving / Weapons Charges - Saskatoon

The Saskatoon Police Service has charged a 25-year-old woman, after a dangerous driving incident.

On April 6, 2023, at approximately 1:45 a.m., officers observed a suspicious vehicle near the intersection of 20th Street West and Avenue P South. When officers attempted to perform a traffic stop, the driver attempted to flee. The vehicle was abandoned a short time later, near the intersection of Galloway Road and Lynd Crescent, after colliding with a parked vehicle. The occupants of the vehicle had fled on foot, but were arrested shortly after, without further incident.

The driver, a 25-year-old woman was found to be in possession of a expandable baton and bear spray. She now faces charges of Dangerous Driving, Evade Police, Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose (x2), and Carrying a Concealed Weapon (x2).

A 24-year-old man, was charged with Breach of Conditions.
