The Saskatoon Police Service has arrested a 33-year-old man after a break and enter yesterday
On April 5, 2023, at around 8:00 p.m., officers responded to a report that a male suspect had broken into a apartment suite, in the 500 block of 5th Avenue North. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the man, but he was non-compliant and began to barricade himself inside. Shortly after the SPS Canine Unit assisted in making entry to the suite. A 33-year-old man was apprehended by a Police Service Dog (PSD), and safely taken into custody. Upon searching the suite, officers discovered a considerable amount of property damage and excessive flooding inside.
The 33-year-old man was taken to hospital for his injuries, which are believed to be minor. He has been charged with Break And Enter to Commit Mischief.
