An 18 year old man will appear in court today following a robbery and assault over the weekend.

Police were called to the west end of the Sid Buckwold Bridge at approximately 7:10 p.m., May 19, 2023. Witnesses reported seeing a male pedestrian being assaulted and robbed of his bag. They located the 48 year old male and found that he was suffering from several non-life threatening injuries. He was seen by Medavie Health Services at the scene. A male, matching the description of the suspect was located in the area a short time later. He was taken into custody and is facing charges of Robbery and Breach of Undertaking.
