The Saskatoon Police Service is investigating an assault that occurred yesterday evening.
On January 3, 2023, at approximately 6:30 p.m., officers were called to the 1100 block of Idylwyld Drive North, for a weapons complaint. Upon arrival, police found two victims who had been maced and stabbed. It was reported to officers that several suspects were shouting at the victims, as they got off a bus. The victims were then bear sprayed and attacked with a knife. A meat cleaver was found and seized at the scene. A 36-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man were taken to hospital, with what are now believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The suspects had fled the scene.
