Police are searching for a suspect after an altercation between several people resulted in a man being stabbed this afternoon.

At approximately 12:30 p.m. today, July 20, 2023, police were called to the 200 block of 1st Avenue South for a report of an altercation involving several people. Upon arrival, it was determined that a man had been stabbed; he was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Several suspects were located and taken into custody nearby; however, all were later released without charges. Further investigation found that a male suspect had fled the area on foot and discarded a knife into a garbage bin; officers retrieved and seized the knife but are continuing to search for the male suspect that fled.
