Arrests - Robbery / Unlawful Confinement / Assault

Three people were arrested after a man was robbed, unlawfully confined, and assaulted.

On July 27, 2023 at around 2:45 a.m., police were called to a business in the 1400 block of Idylwyld Drive North after a man approached staff looking for help. Upon arrival, the 42-year-old male victim told officers that he was at a business in the 100 block of 33rd Street West at around 11:00 p.m. on July 26, 2023 when he was approached by a woman asking for a ride. He drove her to the area of 36th Street West where he was then assaulted by a group of people, robbed of his property, and taken to an address in the 1500 block of Avenue F North to be unlawfully confined. Continued investigation later led police to the area of Westview Place where three suspects were observed approaching the victim’s stolen vehicle; all were arrested without incident. A search of their persons found the remainder of the victim’s stolen property, as well as methamphetamine and cocaine.

As a result, two women and one man, age 34, 31, and 26, respectively, are all charged with robbery, unlawful confinement, and assault. The 31-year-old woman is also charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (x2).
