A woman has been charged after using a scooter to assault a man yesterday evening.

Shortly after 10:00 p.m., August 2, 2023, Patrol officers responded to the 500 block of 24th Street East for a report of a woman assaulting a man with a scooter outside of an apartment building. Bystanders were able to safely intervene to stop the assault prior to police arrival. A 71-year-old man was transported to hospital for treatment of what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect, a 25-year-old woman, was arrested nearby and is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm (Court Info # 991239858).
