The Saskatoon Police Service has taken a 25-year-old man into custody, after a barricaded person incident this afternoon.

On January 4, 2023, at approximately 12:00 p.m., officers responded to the call of a person threatening self harm in the 2000 block of Avenue B North. It was believed he may have a firearm. The Tactical Support Unit responded to the scene to assist Patrol officers in evacuating the building and isolating the area. At around 1:15 p.m., a 25-year-old man was taken into custody, safely, and without further incident. No firearm was located at the scene.
