Two persons were arrested following an attempted armed robbery early this morning.

On February 2, 2023 at around 2:00 a.m., police were called to the area of 19th Street West and Avenue W South for a report of an attempted robbery in which a firearm was produced. A short time later, a vehicle of interest was located nearby with three persons inside; an imitation firearm was found in the vehicle. Continued investigation by members of Patrol led to identifying two of the three persons as suspects in the attempted armed robbery.

As a result, two Saskatoon males, ages 17 and 18, are facing a combination of charges relating to attempted armed robbery and pointing a firearm.
