One woman was transported to hospital after being struck by a vehicle yesterday afternoon.
At around 4:15 p.m. on September 28, 2023, police were called to the intersection of 24th Street East and 3rd Avenue North for a report of a collision involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, a 42-year-old woman, suffering from a non-life-threatening injury; she was transported to hospital by paramedics as a precaution. The driver of the vehicle was issued a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian.
Police thank members of the motoring public for their accomodation of traffic disruptions that resulted.
Police are responding to a report of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian near the intersection of 24th Street East and 3rd Avenue North. Members of the motoring public are advised to find an alternate route through the area.
