One woman was stabbed and a youth arrested this morning following an altercation downtown.

At approximately 11:15 a.m. today, October 13, 2023, police were called to the 300 block of 23rd Street East for a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, a 25-year-old woman, suffering from a non-life-threatening stab wound. The suspect, a 15-year-old girl, was observed a short distance away discarding a knife; she was arrested without incident and the knife was seized by police. The suspect and victim are believed to be known to one another.

As a result, the 15-year-old Saskatoon girl has been charged with assault with a weapon.
