One man is facing a number of charges after he reportedly left a grocery store carrying a firearm.

At approximately 9:00 p.m., October 15, 2023, Patrol officers were dispatched to a grocery store in the 400 block of Confederation Drive for a weapons call. Store security told Police that a man had been seen attempting to conceal a gun and a knife prior to leaving the store. Officers located the suspect walking across Laurier Drive at Confederation Drive where he was arrested without incident. He was found carrying an imitation (BB) pistol, a baton and two knives attached to a tactical vest. A small amount of methamphetamine was also located.

A 36-year-old man is facing 10 weapons/firearms-related charges.
