A woman was arrested after robbing a liquor store last night.
At around 9:30 p.m. on November 16, 2023, police were called to the 400 block of Confederation Drive for a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred. Upon arrival, it was learned that a man and woman had entered the store and loaded a bag with several bottles of alcohol. When confronted by an employee, a firearm was produced and the suspects fled. The employee was not physically injured.
Then, shortly before 1:30 a.m. on November 17, 2023, officers were attending to an unrelated call for service in the 100 block of Avenue U South when they observed a woman consistent in appearance with one of the armed robbery suspects. Continued investigation resulted in her arrest; a search of her person located alcohol but no firearm. The 27-year-old Saskatoon woman has been charged with armed robbery and failing to comply with court-imposed conditions.
