Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section is investigating after a homicide occurred this afternoon.
At approximately 4:20 pm today, patrol officers responded to a call of an injured person in a business parking lot on the 1600 block of 20th Street West. Upon arrival, officers located a 36 year old male who had succumbed to a serious injury.
Responding patrol members were quickly able to determine the suspects description. The suspect was located nearby a short time later, and was taken into custody without further incident.
A 23 year old Saskatoon man has been charged with 2nd degree murder, along with two breach of probation charges and one breach of undertaking. He will appear before a Justice of the Peace tomorrow morning.
Members of the Major Crime Section and Forensic Identification Section are continuing to investigate.
