A woman is facing charges after failing to stop for police and damaging two police vehicles early this morning.

At approximately 3:30 a.m., December 14, 2023, patrol officers observed a red truck, known to be stolen, travelling in the area of 22nd Street West and Avenue W South. Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop, however the driver fled briefly before coming to an abrupt stop at 21st Street West and Avenue W South. The driver, however, refused to exit the vehicle and revved the engine multiple times before driving forward and striking a police vehicle, then reversing and striking a second police vehicle. She was eventually removed from the vehicle and taken into custody.

The 34-year-old woman is charged with Assault (x2), Fail to Stop, Theft of Motor Vehicle, Impaired Driving, Refusal, Possession of Methamphetamine, Obstruction, and breach of court-imposed conditions.
