Arrests Made In Three Stabbing Incidents

Saskatoon Police have arrested three people in connection with three separate stabbings over the last two days.

On February 24, 2023 at approximately 1:30 a.m. Police were called to the area of the 100 block Avenue U South. A man armed with a knife, was witnessed chasing another man. Officers had been in the area and quickly located and arrested a male suspect. They also located a 44 year old victim at a nearby residence. He had been stabbed multiple times and was transported to hospital with serious injuries. The 30 year old male suspect will be charged with Aggravated Assault and Breach of Court Order. He is expected to appear in court later today.

On February 22, 2023, at approximately 9:40 p.m. officers responded to a stabbing which occurred outside a building in the 400 block of Fairmont Drive. Police were in the immediate area and quickly located the suspect in a parking lot where he was arrested. A knife was located nearby. The 33 year old victim was found to be suffering from a non-life-threatening stab wound and was transported to hospital. The 19 year old suspect is charged with Aggravated Assault and Breach of Probation. Court information # 991223848. Occurrence # 2023-23177.

At approximately 10:00 p.m. the same night, Police were called to a suite in the 500 block of Avenue X South. A 49 year old male had been stabbed and was suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was located at the residence and taken into custody. He was charged with Assault With a Weapon. Court information # 991223850. Occurrence # 2023-23186.
