Investigators with the Saskatoon Police Service Interpersonal Violence Section are requesting public assistance following a report of a sexual assault.
On February 16, 2023, a 32-year-old woman contacted police to report a sexual assault that had occurred downtown earlier in the evening. It was learned that the woman had been walking in the area of 23rd Street East and 1st Avenue North between 6:15 and 6:30 p.m. when she was approached by two men unknown to her and touched in a sexual manner. Through continued investigation, the suspects are believed to be two Caucasian males in their 20s and over 5’5” in height with medium builds; one is reported to have had a deep voice. The first suspect is described to have been wearing a dark blue scarf that covered his face, black toque, grey hoodie, and blue jeans; he is believed to have brown eyes. The second suspect is described to have been wearing a blue medical mask, grey toque, black winter jacket, and blue jeans. Fortunately, the victim was not physically injured as a result of the assault and Victim Services supports have been extended.
