As a result of this investigation, a 36-year-old man has been charged with first degree murder and will appear in court this afternoon. This is the third person arrested in this case.

The Saskatoon Police Service wishes to correct that the RCMP's Saskatoon Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team (WEST) effected the arrest of the 37-year-old wanted man in North Battleford; not Saskatoon as was previously reported.

Two people have been arrested and charged with first-degree murder following investigation into a February homicide.
On April 3, 2024, members of the RCMP’s Saskatoon Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team (WEST) effected the arrest of a 37-year-old man in Saskatoon after he was wanted on warrants for breach of probation. Following his arrest, members of the Saskatoon Police Service’s Major Crime Section further charged him with the first-degree murder of a 48-year-old man at a home in the 200 block of Avenue I South in February. A second man, age 34, was subsequently arrested by the SPS on April 4, 2024 and has also been charged with first-degree murder. Both men will appear before a Justice of the Peace this evening.
The SPS' Major Crime Section is continuing to investigate.
