At approximately 2:20 a.m. on April 8, 2024, police responded to reports of an altercation at a business in the 3300 Block of 33rd Street West.

Officers arrived at the business to find a man and woman sitting inside of a parked vehicle; upon beginning to investigate, a case for a firearm was observed on the floor near the passenger seat. Upon further investigation, a loaded handgun and a second unloaded magazine were found.

As a result, a 29-year-old man was charged with careless handing of a firearm and improper storage of a firearm.
