A 34-year-old man is recovering following a stabbing on the 200 Block of Avenue H South.

On April 23, 2024, around 5 p.m., officers were called to the area with reports of an altercation between two men.

As further updates came in, it was learned the two men had left the initial area. Arriving officers then located one man in the 900 block of 22nd Street West.

Shortly after, the 25-year-old suspect turned himself into police who were attending to the victim. The suspect revealed two weapons in his possession before being taken into custody. As a result, the suspect has been charged with aggravated assault and two counts of possessing a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence.

The victim was transported to hospital with life threatening injuries but has since stabilized.
