Two men were arrested after robbing a youth male of his property yesterday evening.
At around 8:20 p.m. on May 22, 2024, police were called to the area of 20th Street West and Avenue C South for a report of a robbery in progress. Upon arrival, officers located the 14-year-old male victim who had been robbed of his property by two unknown men. The suspects then fled the area prior to police arrival. Shortly after, officers located two men and a woman walking nearby that matched the descriptions of the male suspects. Continued investigation led to the arrest of both men without incident and recovery of the stolen property. One of the men was also found to be in possession of a loaded improvised firearm.
As a result, two Saskatoon men, age 20 and 24, have each been charged with robbery. The 20-year-old man was also charged with carrying a weapon dangerous to public peace while the 24-year-old man was found to be breaching court-imposed conditions. The woman was not charged.
