A 23-year-old woman was hospitalized after a single vehicle collision on Sunday morning.
On July 7, 2024, at around 6:15 a.m., police responded to the call of a vehicle accident with injuries, near the intersection of Highway #5 and Highway #41. Upon arrival, officers discovered a vehicle in a ditch, that is believed to have rolled numerous times. The vehicle had also started on fire. Saskatoon Fire was on scene to put out the fire and assist in extracting the driver from the vehicle. Medavie Health Services was then able to transport the driver to hospital with serious injuries. A dog, which was the only other occupant of the vehicle, was discovered deceased at the scene.
The Saskatoon Police Service Collision Analyst has attended the scene, and police are continuing to investigate this collision.
