Arrests - Drug Trafficking Investigation - Weapons, Cash, Drugs Seized

The Saskatoon Police Service Crime Reduction Team has concluded a three-week drug trafficking investigation with the arrests of multiple people.

On August 13, 2024, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Unit, three people were arrested in relation to a drug trafficking investigation and search warrants were executed at addresses in the 300 block of 29th Street West and 2300 block of Millar Avenue. As a result, police seized a 9mm semi-automatic rifle, two prohibited 31-round magazines, 250 rounds of ammunition, approximately 50 grams of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, gamma-hydroxybutyrate, $1750 CAD, multiple knives, and assorted paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.

A 40-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, possession of the proceeds of crime under $5000, eight weapons-related offences, possession of false identity documents, and breach of a firearms prohibition. Two Saskatoon women, age 40 and 44, are also facing multiple firearms-related charges.
