Members of the Collision Analyst Unit are investigating following a collision involving a police vehicle last night.
Shortly after 11:00 p.m. on August 29, 2024, a marked police vehicle occupied by two Constables was struck while travelling through the intersection of 27th Street West and Avenue C North. The Saskatoon Fire Department responded to the scene and extricated both officers from the vehicle. Preliminary investigation has determined that the police vehicle was on regular patrol travelling north on Avenue C North with the right-of-way when a civilian vehicle travelling west on 27th Street West disobeyed a traffic sign and collided with the passenger side of the police vehicle causing it to overturn. There were no serious injuries to the Constables or civilians as a result of the collision.
Police are continuing to investigate.
