A Saskatoon man was arrested and faces charges following a robbery Saturday morning.
On September 7, 2024, at approximately 8:10 a.m. police were called to the 1100 block of 22nd Street West for a report of a male robbing a business with a firearm.
The suspect had fled the scene before police arrival; however, officers spoke with staff and obtained video surveillance of the incident. With the assistance of the SPS Canine Unit, a K9 track was conducted and the suspect was located a short distance away from the initial scene.
Upon further investigation, the firearm used in the robbery was found to be an imitation firearm.
As a result, a 19-year-old man is facing charges relating to possession of a weapon, concealing a weapon, and robbery.
