Police are investigating after a woman reported being assaulted and robbed yesterday.

At around 6:00 p.m. on February 7, 2024, police were called to a hospital in the 1700 block of 20th Street West after a woman had entered suffering from stab wounds. Preliminary investigation found that the woman had been walking in an alley in the 1500 block of 20th Street West when she was approached by an unknown man who had demanded her property and assaulted her; during the assault, the man produced a knife and stabbed the woman multiple times before fleeing the area without the woman’s property. The woman then attended to the hospital where she was treated for her non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is believed to be an approximately 6’ tall man in his 40s with a slim build, brown hair, and brown eyes. Anyone with information or video evidence believed to be relevant is asked to contact police directly at 306-975-8300 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
