Two people were arrested over the weekend in relation to two separate weapons offences.

One male was arrested after police responded to a domestic dispute Saturday night.

At approximately 9:00 p.m. on September 28, 2024 police received a report of a domestic dispute in an alley in the 2800 block of Rusholme Road.

Upon arrival, officers located the suspect and the victims; the male suspect was detained for an assault investigation. Upon search of his person, officers located a CO2 firearm.

As a result, a 17-year-old male was arrested and faces charges relating to carrying and concealing a weapon.

One man was arrested Sunday night in relation to a weapons call.

On September 29, 2024 at approximately 8:40 p.m. police were called to the 2200 block of 22nd Street West for a weapons call. Initial information stated a male had a gun.

Upon arrival, officers were able to locate and detain the suspect a short distance away. Upon search of his person, police located a CO2 firearm.

As a result, the 21-year-old man was arrested and faces charges relating to possession of a weapon, and concealing a weapon.
