Around 3:54 p.m., February 12, 2024, police were dispatched to a business in the 900 block of 22nd Street West to a report of a man threatening people with a gun.

The man fled the scene before police arrived but was located and arrested shortly after, near the 200 block of Avenue K North with the assistance of a police service dog and handler.

Upon a search of his person, police located a sawed-off rifle and sawed-off shotgun. As a result, the 23-year-old male has been charged with multiple weapons offences, a breach of release order and had outstanding warrants.
