The Saskatoon Police Service has been made aware of a phone scam circulating through the community regarding Stars Lottery.

The caller is alleging that the person receiving the call has won a new vehicle, the caller then advises the potential victim to pay the caller via gift card to have the new vehicle towed to their location.

Residents are being advised to block the number and ignore any text if pertinent. Do not click any link or make any payments to this caller or website if provided.

Stars Lottery will never require payments of any kind. If you have been a victim of any fraud or scam, please report this to the Saskatoon Police Service 306-975-8300. Any text messages or phone calls can also be reported to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre
