Members of the SPS Serious Assault Unit are investigating following a stabbing which took place on the weekend.

At approximately 1:20 p.m., Saturday, November 17, 2024, Police were called to the 200 block of 3rd Avenue South, where a person was reportedly injured. Upon arrival, officers located a 33 year old female suffering from stab wounds. She was transported to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police believe the female suspect and the victim are known to each other.

This incident is unrelated to the Santa Claus Parade which was taking place at the time.
