A man and a woman have been arrested and multiple charges have been laid following an incident that occurred Sunday morning.

Just after 9:30 a.m. on November 17, 2024, police received a report of a break and enter in the 600 block of Kellough Road. During this time, a Ford F-150 was stolen. While officers were arriving, the homeowner was able to provide police with updates on the vehicle’s location.

Just before 10:00 a.m. the owner told police the vehicle had stopped in a parking lot in the 30 block of West view Place. Arriving officers located the vehicle and observed two occupants inside. A high-risk traffic stop was executed and both occupants were arrested without incident.

Upon search of the vehicle, police located a rifle, two machetes, and a can of bear spray.

As a result, a 25-year-old man and 18-year-old woman have been charged with multiple weapons-related offences and possession of stolen property over $5,000.
