Two men have been charged following a traffic stop early Saturday morning.

Shortly before 6:00 a.m. on November 23, 2024, police conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle.

During the traffic stop, police observed open alcohol believed to belong to one of the occupants. Police attempted to Identify the man; however, he refused to cooperate. The man was arrested shortly after without further incident.

During a search of his person, police located a handgun and a prohibited magazine. A further search also found approximately five grams of cocaine. Another male occupant was also searched and cocaine was located as well.

As a result, a 33-year-old man has been charged with multiple weapons- and drug-related offences in addition to resisting arrest. A 22-year-old man has been charged with possessing a controlled substance.
