One woman was arrested following a hit and run on the weekend.

Shortly after 5:30 p.m. on November 23, 2024, police witnessed a westbound Jeep Wrangler hit a pedestrian while walking through a crosswalk at the intersection of 22nd Street West and Avenue P South.

The driver stopped momentarily and got out before re-entering the vehicle and driving away. Police located the Jeep in a strip mall nearby. The victim was taken to hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

As a result, a 36-year-old woman has been charged with failing to stop at an accident causing bodily harm.
