One man has been arrested following a robbery and assault last night.
Shortly after 9:00 p.m. on November 27, 2024, police were called to a business in the 100 block of Primrose Drive for a report of a robbery and assault that had just occurred. Upon arrival, officers learned that a Loss Prevention Officer (LPO) for the business had confronted a man concealing merchandise on his person. The man then pushed a shopping cart into the LPO before brandishing a knife while causing a disturbance and fleeing the business. Police located the suspect a short time later on Warman Road near Assiniboine Drive; a search of his person located merchandise believed to have been stolen from the business.
Asa result, the 30-year-old man has been charged with assault with a weapon and robbery. An outstanding warrant from the Moose Jaw Police Service was also executed upon his arrest.
