As a result of this investigation, a 36-year-old man has been charged with first degree murder and will appear in court this afternoon. This is the third person arrested in this case.

Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section is investigating a homicide that occurred overnight.
At approximately 12:25 am, February 17, 2024, patrol officers responded to an injured person in a home on the 200 block of Avenue I South. Once at scene officers located a 50 year old male suffering from a gunshot wound. The male victim was transported to hospital for treatment, however succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
Next of kin has been notified and police are not releasing the name of the deceased at this time. The 50 year old male victim and suspect are known to each other.
The Major Crime and Forensic Identification Sections continue to investigate Saskatoon's 3rd homicide of 2024.
