A 17-year-old man was arrested following a stabbing on Saturday morning.

At approximately 1:00 a.m., January 11, 2025, Patrol officers responded to a report of an injured person at an apartment in the 3700 block of Diefenbaker Drive. Upon arrival, they located a 21-year-old female suffering from a stab wound. Upon further investigation, officers located the suspect still in the building. He was arrested and found to be in possession of a knife, as well as a bag containing ammunition and cocaine.

The victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The 17-year-old is charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Possession of Cocaine, Prohibited Possession of Ammunition, and breaching court-ordered conditions.
