One man was arrested from a taxi cab following a reported theft at a store.

At approximately 3:30 p.m., January 16, 2025, Patrol officers were dispatched to a store in the 200 block of Betts Avenue. It was reported to Police that a masked man had stolen items from the business before fleeing in a cab. A traffic stop was conducted on the suspect vehicle at Fairlight Drive and Gropper Crescent. The suspect was located in possession of the recently stolen merchandise, as well as a butterfly knife concealed on his person.

A 23-year-old man is facing three weapon-related offences, as well as Theft Under $5000, Wearing a Disguise to Commit an Offence and Breach of Conditions.
