One man was arrested following a report of an assault this afternoon.

At around 1:20 p.m. on June 4, 2025, police were called to a business in the 3300 block of Fairlight Drive for a report of a man assaulting a woman known to him. As the first arriving officer was beginning to investigate, a man later determined to be the suspect in the initial assault struck the Sergeant in the face. Following a brief struggle, the 26-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon, assault by choking, assault on a police officer, and failure to comply with court-imposed conditions.

Neither the victim of the initial assault or the police officer were seriously injured.
