One man is facing a number of weapon-related charges following a cab ride Saturday night.

At approximately 9:00 p.m., January 18, 2025, SPS was dispatched to a home in the 1400 block of 1st Avenue North for a weapons call. It was reported to Police that when a cab driver completed a trip, the suspect passenger pointed a gun at the driver instead of paying the fare. When officers arrived, the suspect exited the residence and was arrested. A search warrant was executed at the home where Police located and seized an imitation firearm.

The 22-year-old man is facing four weapon-related offences including Pointing a Firearm. He also had multiple outstanding warrants and was charged with Obstruction and Breach of Probation.
