Two people are facing charges after police responded to a disturbance yesterday afternoon.

At approximately 2:00 p.m., January 26, 2025, Patrol officers responded to a report of persons uttering threats inside a business in the 100 block of 21st Street East. Upon arrival, a police officer attempted to arrest a woman when a man physically intervened and attempted to assault the officer. A physical confrontation ensued before other officers arrived to assist in placing both the man and woman in custody.

A 34-year-old man is charged with Assaulting a Peace Officer. He was also arrested on outstanding Criminal Code warrants. (Court Info # 991293284)

A 31-year-old woman was arrested for Public Intoxication.
