A man is facing charges after assaulting another man outside a bar earlier this morning.

At approximately 1:45 a.m., February 26, 2025, patrol officers responded to a parking lot in the 1300 block of 8th Street East after a man reported being injured by a man wielding a pry bar. Upon police arrival, officers located a man matching the suspect description and seized the weapon from the scene. The man was also found to be in possession of fentanyl and methamphetamine.

The 27-year-old victim's injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

A 41-year-old man is charged with Aggravated Assault, and Possession of Methamphetamine and Fentanyl.
